Holiday Inn- Dallas-Texas
AboutIt’s familiar. But, it’s better than ever before. The first thing you’ll notice is the new Holiday Inn sign outside. Inside you’ll see stylish contemporary décor, crisp white linens on every bed and a selection of soft and firm pillows in every room. It’s more than a warm bed, a clean room, and a friendly smile. It’s a hotel where you can sit back, relax and be yourself.
I stayed at the Holiday Inn at Market Center the weekend of the 16th-19th ( 2 nights). I must say I was pleasantly surprised at our stay. I have co-workers in Dallas who described the area as one to avoid, but honestly I don't know why. Traffic wasn't bad, there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance as well as a good distance from the Convention Center ( Dallas Comic Convention was that weekend). I am giving 4 stars for a couple of small reasons, but honestly only one of them should be a really 'big deal'. While I was getting ready to go to sleep on my second night I adjusted my pillows to find a Silverfish underneath one of them. The second which isn't really that big, is during the $10.00 breakfast buffet you are allowed ONE drink before you have to pay nearly $3.00 for an additional small glass of Orange Juice/Milk/Coffee. I simply asked for a glass of water and went on my way. But honestly, I had a pleasant stay and would suggest anyone on a budget taking a trip to Dallas to stay here. It is conveniently located on the outside of Downtown, but close enough to the train that you don't have to worry about driving or taking the shuttle.
